Booktube-A-Thon 2015

Booktube-A-Thon is now upon us. For those who don’t know what this is, let me explain. Booktube-A-Thon is one of many reading marathons, where you read as much as you can. This particular readathon goes from August 3rd-9th. Originating in 2012, the program is going into its 3rd year; and my second year participating.

The readathon is more than a ‘just go read a book’ type of thing. Every year there are hosts of the readathon; these people challenge the participating readers to complete book and video challenges. Video challenges are put up daily and the winners receive free books.

BookDepository.com sponsors Booktube-A-Thon and is the one to provide all the giveaway books. Not just that, but BookDepository.com also has 100 books on a discounted price with a promo code.

Last year, I participated in Booktube-A-Thon but didn’t read that much. I finished one and a half books then. My goal this year is to finish four books during this time. If I read more than four then I surpassed my goal and I would be so so happy!

Here are the book challenges; you can combine any of them together:

  • Read a book with blue on the cover

  • Read a book where the author’s last name initial matches your last name initial

  • Read someone else's favorite book

  • Read the last book you acquired

  • Finish a book without letting go of it

  • Read a book you want to read

  • Read seven books

I’m going to do as many challenges as I can--well maybe not the seven book challenge. Who can read seven books in one week? I don’t think I’m going to be able to. Never know unless you try; so I’m going to try!

Here are all the books I’m planning on reading…

More in depth:

Everybody Sees the Ants by A.S. King (advance reading copy)

Pretties by Scott Westerfeld (second book in a series)

Hungry by H.A. Swan

Cloaked by Alex Flinn

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews

Legend by Marie Lu

Paper Towns by John Green

If you’re interested in participating in Booktube-A-Thon with me, go ahead and do it! Grab all the books you want to read and get ready because it starts tomorrow! Have fun reading!
